Saracens Women have named their side to face Bristol Ladies at Allianz Park on Saturday for round seven of the Tyrrells Premier 15s, kick off 16h00.
League top try scorer Marlie Packer returns to openside flanker alongside No.8 Poppy Cleall as the pair face their former club for the first time this season. They are joined in the back row by Harriet Austin who retains her blindside flanker spot.
Rosie Galligan and Valeria Fedrighi resume their second row partnership whilst Hannah Botterman comes back in to the squad after a week’s absence to start at tighthead prop. She lines up alongside El Perry at loosehead prop and Kat Evans at hooker.
Anna Goddard starts for the second week running at scrum half and Premier 15s top points scorer Zoe Harrison comes in at fly half after making an impact off the bench last week.
Lauren Cattell brings her experience in the centres as she partners with eighteen year old Cara Wardle who impressed on her debut at Gloucester-Hartpury. The back three remains unchanged with Rowan White at fullback and captain Lotte Clapp and Garnet Mackinder on the wings.
Speaking ahead of the match, head coach Rob Cain said: “It’s great to be back at Allianz Park after being away for a number of weeks on the road. Bristol are a dangerous team – from their catch and drive game to their expansive team play – they have shown that they can score tries from multiple positions.
“We have some key aims we are going to work hard to aspire to which all lead towards giving our threats better opportunities. We know the breakdown will be a key battle and we want to identify playing the ball into the right areas, at the right time, on our terms.”
