England’s women’s senior team, competing in the SheBelieves Cup in the USA, notched an historic win on Saturday night when Ellen White’s knocked home the winner (after a thunderbolt from Lucy Bronze had rebounded from the crossbar) as they beat the hosts 1-0 ending the USA’s unbeaten run of 23 home matches without loss.
England are the lowest ranked team in the tournament, they lost their first game against France 2-1 and will now face Germany on Tuesday.
