Defender Harriet Scott has signed a new 18-month deal with the Royals.
Harriet Scott has signed a new full-time professional contract until 2018. Scott, 23, has spent 15 years at the club after joining the Reading academy aged just 8 years old.
On signing Scott said “I am absolutely delighted to have signed a new deal with my childhood club. Last year was my first season as a professional footballer and I can’t wait to develop further this season. Professional football was not something I thought a possibility when I came through Reading, but I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work hard for the team again this year. We’ve got some brilliant new signings this season and I can’t wait to push on to the fixtures and improve upon last season”.
Manager Kelly Chambers said “I’m really pleased Harriet has signed a new contact, her work ethic and tenacity adds a great dimension to our defence. She’s been at the club 15 years now which speaks volumes about her hard work and attitude, she’s still young and I’m looking forward to seeing her develop over the coming seasons”.
