The RFU has recently launched its ‘Inner Warror, campaign to encourage more girls and women to get involved with rugby. As part of the campaign, 100 ‘Warrior Camps’ will take place in rugby clubs across the country from January 19 – 29, offering fun rugby taster sessions for women who want to try out the sport before joining their local club.
The Warrior Camps will teach the basic skills of rugby.
This weekend in conjunction with London Scottish Girls, Richmond Women are hosting their own Warrior Camp. So encourage your friends, or old players that might want to get back involved to head to – www.englandrugby.com/innerwar
The session caters for two age groups: 14+ and 18+ and starts at 11am on 22 January at the Richmond Athletic Ground.
As an added bonus afterwards all participants will have free entry to the Women’s Premiership match between Richmond and Darlington Mowden Park Sharks, featuring among others England Players Alex Matthews and Kay Wilson.
Will you find your inner warrior?
Could you be a future Red Rose?
Or would you just like to experience being part of the rugby family – come along, have fun and be inspired!
