Central Yorkshire Girls continue winning ways

Rugby league coaches and managers came together in Yorkshire to organise an exciting programme of county games for U16 girls.  The series kicked off on 13 November at East Leeds ARLFC with a team from Central Yorkshire  taking to the field against Wigan St Judes.  Central Yorkshire won the game 26-22.
Yesterday the team from Central Yorkshire travelled to Wigan for the return fixture and were again victorious this time running out winners with a scoreline of 20-8.
Yorkshire’s tries were scored by: Chloe Kerrigan, Annabelle Morley and Katie Costello 2
Frankie Townsend scored 2 conversions.
Paige Webster was Central Yorkshire’s player of the match.
Coach Dean Gledhill said: “It was another great game played in the spirit of the game.  Great respect was shown by both teams. In all it was a fantastic advert for girls rugby league.”
Next Saturday , 3rd December Central Yorkshire will play West Yorkshire at Dewsbury Moor and on 7th December they will play Batley location to be confirmed.
