The third match in the annual series is set to take place on Sunday October 16 at Stanningley ARLFC in North Leeds and, following last year’s dramatic late fightback by Yorkshire to draw the game, takes centre stage in Yorkshire for the first time.
The RFL have announced the following appointments for the 2016 Women’s RL County Origin Series:
Lancashire Youth
Mark Brennan (Thatto Heath-St Helens) & Steve Quinn (Leigh Miners Rangers)
Yorkshire Youth
Craig Taylor (Batley Bulldogs Girls & Brighouse Rangers Women)
Yorkshire Women
Chris Abel (Army RL Women)
Entrance to game is £3 (£1 concessions) with all profit on the day going to Stanningley to fund the club’s junior development.

RFL Competition Manager James Shuttleworth said: “County Origin last year was unbelievably dramatic, the match was drawn only on the last play of the game.
“We hope that whets the appetite of fans and players alike to participate in this year’s event as we continue to build its profile.”
The coaches, who have been appointed across the last few weeks, have already begun to plan for the event with the appointments reflective of the rapid growth of the women’s game as the Army RL Women, semi finalists in this year’s Challenge Cup, provide their first-ever coach to the game.
The Lancashire position has yet to be finalised but plans are already in place to prepare for the match.
In-keeping with tradition, sessions and selection will only commence after the Women’s RL Grand Finals at Select Security Stadium, Saturday, October 1.
