People are being invited to cheer on Ben Fletcher in Brazil and have a go at judo themselves for free during a fun event at the University of Bath Sports Training Village next week.
The Team Bath Dojo will be transformed into a Judo House from 2-4pm on Thursday, August 11, in celebration of Fletcher fighting in the men’s -100kg weight division at the Carioca Arena that afternoon.
Action from Brazil will be screened live in the dojo, where Team Bath coaches and judoka will be helping people of all ages get to grips with judo during enjoyable interactive sessions – no previous experience is necessary.
Among those passing on advice will be High Performance Judo Coach Juergen Klinger, who has worked with Fletcher at the Sports Training Village for the past seven years.
The Bath Judo House is being run in association with British Judo and is free to attend on the day. To guarantee a place on the have-a-go sessions, please register at www.teambath.com.
