Preview – Jets v Thunder

  • +1

After six games without a win, Yorkshire Jets welcome the Vitality Netball Superleague leaders Manchester Thunder to Leeds on Saturday.

The Roses clash will see Jets hoping to upset the odds, which they know are firmly stacked against them, and get their first win of the season.

Thunder proved they could be beaten last weekend though when they lost to reigning champions Surrey Storm and Anna Carter’s team are determined to give it their all and put on a better performance in front of the sell-out crowd.

Jets will be anxiously waiting on the results of fitness tests for two key players, who were injured for the game against Celtic Dragons on Monday.

Shooter Alex Kirk and mid-courter Jess Shaw will be hoping to be back in action to join Kylie Paynter and Kate Lightfoot who returned to court in Monday’s game.

Centre pass on Saturday is at 4pm.
