Aegon GB Pro-Series Event – Bath University – Monday 9 November

It was an action-packed day on the tennis courts at the University of Bath Sports Training Village on Monday as the Aegon GB Pro-Series Event got into full swing.

The men, got the week-long international professional event under way on Monday, returning for the third qualifying round of their $15K tournament while the women began their bid to earn a place in the main draw of their $25k competition.

Among those taking part in the qualifiers on Monday was University of Bath Sport & Exercise Science student Emma Hurst, a 2014-15 Trendell Sports Scholar and Dual Career athlete coming back from a set down to beat fellow Team Bath MCTA Tennis player Sarah Beth Askew (pictured above).

Players from across Europe, as well as the USA, Mexico, Canada and Samoa, will take to the courts on Monday, reflecting the international flavour of the event.
