A hectic round of football fixtures on Sunday included Continental Tyres Cup Semi Finals and third round FA Cup qualifiers plus a few league fixtures for good measure.
Arsenal Ladies v Birmingham featured in the first Semi final running out 3-1 winners against Birmingham. On target for Arsenal were Marta Corredera, Dan Carter and Alex Scott; Kirsty Linnett pulled one back for Birmingham.
Notts County spoiled the party for Liverpool Ladies, as two goals from Ellen White gave them victory and put them into their second Final this year. The final will be played in Rotherham on 1st November and the Lady Pies will be hoping they can go one better than in the FA Cup Final. However, with Arsenal into their 5th consecutive Continental Tyres Cup Final, they will be desperate to put a positive end to their disappointing season.
The only WSL2 fixture was Everton v Reading and Reading took the victory and the top of the table spot – which they will hope to hold onto with just one game to play.
