Stina Blackstenius inspired Sweden to WU19 EURO glory on Monday beating Spain by 3-1 to take the trophy.  Blackstenius scored two first half goals at a time when Spain were dominating possession and set up a late one to seal the game and win Sweden the title.

Blacksenius also claimed for herself the top scorer trophy with 6 goals in four games at the tournament, bringing her tally for the season to 20 in 10 games.

Spanish coach Jorge Vilda said  “It’s like playing against a team with Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi in it,” after Sweden’s “polished diamonds” won the WU19 EURO final.
Calle Barrling, Sweden coach said: “The girls are delighted and have worked extremely hard for this. Many missed out, we lost the WU17 final against Poland in 2013, so to have won this is very special for them. We have three triumphs at this tournament. Winning the title, getting a place at the [U-20] World Cup and also making these finals for the fourth time in a row.”
Final Score: Spain 1-3 Sweden
Goalscorers: Sweden – Blackstenius 28′, 36′
Spain – Hernández 81′
