Bristol Academy have had a difficult season so far in the WSL1 with just two draws and no wins. However, they put that behind them tonight as they ran out 4-0 winners away to Aston Villa Ladies in the Continental Cup. Villa had a penalty awarded in the dying moments of the game but it was saved by Mary Earps and they were unable to capitalise on the resulting corner.
Hopefully this result with give Bristol a confidence boost for the rest of the season.
