After the heartbreak of losing to Japan, England have to pick themselves up and face a German team (that will also be smarting from a loss to the USA) for the game that no-one will want to play, for 3rd/4th place in the tournament. We know that they will play with all the heart and passion they have shown thus far.
Over in Vancouver USA and Japan will be preparing for the Final which will be a replay of the 2011 Final which Japan won on penalties after a final score of 2-2 at the end of extra time. USA exacted some revenge, by beating Japan to win the Gold at the 2012 Olympics, which sets up an intriguing battle this time around.
So the line up for the two final games of what has been a brilliant Women’s World Cup:
