England needed at least a point from their final group game against Germany in order to progress to the Semi Finals of the UEFA Under 17 Women’s Championship but it was not to be, as Germany smarting from their loss to Spain gave a tremendous performance to beat England by 5-0. Switzerland meanwhile surprised France by coming from behind to beat them 2-1 and book their place in the Semi Finals.
