This weekend in the Womens Rugby League Premier Division, Thatto Heath St Helens travelled away to West Craven and the travelling side left with an 80-0 victory. Thatto’s Jodie Cunningham and Rachel Thompson led the try scoring charts with 4 each, closely followed by Chloe Hammond and Tara Stanley, both with 3 each. Jenny Moss scored twice and there was one try for Paige Costello. Chloe Hammond and Naomi Williams both kicked one goal each and Tara Stanley converted 8.
Wigan St Patricks welcomed Oulton Raiders and the home side grabbed an 18-10 win.
Leigh Miners hosted Rochdale Hornets and the home side ran away with a 50-6 win. For Leigh Miners; Mairead Quinn, Rhiannon Doag and Kelli Morris all lead the try scorers for the home side with 2 each. Emily Mullen, Georgia Sutherland, Clare Thompson, Rachel Ogden and Leanne Johnson all scored one each, Mullen added to her tally for the day with 3 goals. Rochdale crossed for one try by Armani Kharliq, converted by Harriet Widdup but the home side proved too strong on the day.
The final game of the weekend saw another away win, Bradford Thunderbirds made the trip to Brighouse Rangers and the away side carded an 82-0 win. Charlotte Booth and Rhiannon Marshall both crossed for a hat-rick of tries whilst Lois Forsell and Manina Spurr grabbed two tries each. Charlene Hennigan, Shona Hoyle, Danielle Bose, Kirsty Moroney and Stacey Wilson all crossed for one and Marshall added to her tally with an impressive 11 conversions.
Brighouse Rangers also sent a team to Liverpool University for a friendly and Brighouse earned a hard fought 14-12 win.

The second week of Womens Rugby League action began with Thatto Heath St Helens at home to Normanton Knights, Thatto overcame last weekends narrow loss with a resounding 42-0 win. Thatto’s Jodie Cunningham and Tara Stanley both scored two tries each and there was one each for Sammi Simpson, Jenny Moss and Rachel Thompson, Stanley added 5 goals to her tally.
Selby Warriors journeyed to Hunslet Hawks and built on last week’s strong win this time winning out 56-0.
Rochdale Hornets were at home to Wigan St Patricks and it was the visiting side who battled to a 42-0 win. Wigans Gemma Henassey led the way with a hat-rick of tries and Chloe Myers crossed twice. There was also on try each for Charlotte Foley, Emma Dwyer, Jo Trummble and Joenie Aspin. Sarah Harrison added three conversions.
Stanningley Ladies welcomed Leigh Miners Rangers and the home side won 36-18. Centre Sarah Dunn was the player of the match and scored 2 tries. Also on the score board were Tasha Gaines (2 tries), Larisa Deaves (1 try), Rachael Barker (1 try) and Jodie Litherland put all 6 conversions through the posts to score 12 points.
The final game of the weekend saw Bradford Clayton Thunderbirds welcome Featherstone Rovers and it was the travelling side who emerged victorious 31-14. Bradford’s Lois Forsell scored twice and there was one try for Amy Hardcastle, Lisa Taylor added one conversions. For the winners, Featherstone, Emily Rudge scored twice and there was one try each for; Kayliegh Bulman, Gemma French, Gemma Walsh and Katie Cooper-Birkenhead. Cooper-Birkenhead added 3 conversions and one drop goal to her tally.
