England Netball are delighted to introduce a fabulous new version of the sport: Nets!, and the East Midlands is extremely lucky to have 3 recognised Nets Centres:

On Sunday 18th January, the East Midlands Netball Team will be hosting an Introduction to Nets at Leicester Sport Centre. The event is open to everyone aged 16+, and will follow the timetable as highlighted below:
10:00am Arrival & Registration
10:10am Welcome & Introduction to Nets
- The Basics of 6’s
- The Basics of 7’s
- The Nets
- Opportunities at the Leicester and Derby Nets Centres
10:30am Nets Taster
- Quick rotation of players on/off the court to get used to the Nets!
11:00am Mini Tournament
- A 6-a-side knock out tournament (games expected to be between 5-10 minutes, dependant on number of teams entered)
- If you can’t get a team of 6 together, don’t worry…come along and we will put together with other individual players
- There will be an opportunity to utilise the neighbouring court to discuss tactics & practise shooting!
12:30pm Closing Speech & Depart
- An opportunity for you to provide us with any feedback & answer any questions you may have about Nets
The match focus for this event will be on the 6-a-side game, but where you are a club/team/coach/individual player … we would love to see you there!
So that the day can be appropriately delivered and timetabled, please ensure that you complete and return the attached form to the East Midlands Netball Office by Friday 19th December.
