Asisat Oshoala named BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year

Asisat Oshoala, who became the first African player to play in the Superleague when she signed for Liverpool in January 2015, has been named the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year. Oshoala, at just 20 was the youngest player nominated for the BBC World Service award, was voted for by football fans from around the world.
