England Netball is pleased to announce the appointment of Vic Burgess as Roses A Assistant Coach and Tamsin Greenway as Roses A Technical Coach, joining Roses Pathway Head Coach Josie Pointon as part of the new Roses A programme.
Reflecting a wider commitment to evolve the England Netball Pathway to better prepare young athletes for sustained success on the senior international stage, England Netball has introduced a number of changes to its performance pathway structure for the 2026- 27 season and beyond.
The new Roses A programme has been introduced to prepare selected athletes for immediate transition into senior international performance. Through a targeted Individual Performance Plan (IPP)-led approach, the programme will provide highly individualised development support, accelerating senior readiness and ensuring athletes are prepared to meet the specific demands of senior international competition by the end of their time in the programme.
Working alongside Pointon, Burgess and Greenway will support the delivery of the Roses A programme, ensuring selected athletes have access to the coaching expertise, individualised support and development opportunities required to progress towards senior international performance.
Burgess joins the programme with an outstanding track record of success in elite domestic netball and extensive experience of developing athletes within high- performance environments. Since taking on the role of Head Coach at Loughborough Lightning in 2021, she has established herself as one of the leading coaches in the sport, guiding the team to two Netball Super League titles and building a consistently successful performance programme. Alongside her achievements at club level, Burgess brings valuable pathway expertise, having previously led the England U17 Roses Academy and played a key role in developing athletes through the Loughborough Lightning performance pathway.
As Head Coach of London Mavericks and previously Head Coach of the Scotland national team, Greenway has developed a strong reputation for her technical expertise, tactical insight and ability to develop athletes and build successful performance programmes. She also played a key role within the England pathway at the recent Netball World Youth Cup, adding valuable experience of working with athletes at international age-group level. A former England international and multiple-time Netball Super League title winner as both a player and coach, Greenway brings a unique understanding of the demands of elite performance and will play a key role in supporting athletes as they progress towards senior international netball.
Josie Pointon, Roses Pathway Head Coach, said: “Vic and Tamsin are both exceptional coaches who bring a wealth of experience, expertise and a shared passion for developing athletes. Their appointments represent an important step in delivering the ambitions of the Roses Pathway and creating the right environment to support athletes as they transition towards senior international performance.
“Both bring different and complementary strengths to the coaching team. Vic’s experience of building high-performance environments and developing athletes, alongside Tamsin’s technical expertise and tactical insight, will be invaluable in supporting our Roses A athletes as they continue their journey towards the Vitality Roses.”

It’s a great opportunity to support their continued development and help them take the next steps on their journey towards senior international netball.”
The appointments form part of England Netball’s ongoing commitment to creating a more connected, targeted and effective pathway, supporting athletes at every stage of their journey towards representing the Vitality Roses.
