Lucy Packer signs new deal with Harlequins

Harlequins Women are delighted to confirm that Red Roses scrum-half and World Cup winner Lucy Packer has signed a new deal with the Club.

Packer made her 100th appearance for the Club in February against Exeter and has been an instrumental figure in the side since making her debut against Gloucester-Hartpury in 2018.

She also scored in her most recent appearance for the Club against Leicester Tigers in May.

Packer was part of the side that won the Allianz Premier15s title in 2021 and has been a key leader within the playing group and has also shone at international level, winning 45 caps her her country and winning the Rugby World Cup title in 2025, alongside numerous Six Nations titles.

Packer is renowned for her speed of pass and ability to keep the attack flowing for her side with her passing game and is the latest player to commit her future to the Club ahead of the 2026-27 season.

Speaking after extending her stay in TW2, Packer said: “I’m looking forward to another season wearing the Quarters. Reaching 100 caps with my family and friends at The Stoop earlier this year was incredibly special and I’m excited to be running out in front of the home crowd again next season.”

Head Coach Ross Chisholm added: “Lucy is one of the best scrum-halves in the game. We’ve seen her take her game to another level this season for Club and country. She is a key part of our squad and someone who brings calmness and precision to our game plan on pitch.”

“To have already reached 100 appearances for Harlequins at such a young age is testament to her dedication and commitment to the Club. I’m really looking forward to seeing Lucy continue to wear the quarters next season and believe that she is a someone who will continue to take her game to even higher levels in the coming seasons.”
