Lioness legend Beth Mead MBE has announced her new podcast, The Beth Mead Show which launches today, Tuesday 26 May.
One of England’s most celebrated players, Beth is a two-time Women’s Euros winner, a Women’s Euros Golden Boot winner, Player of the Tournament and BBCSports Personality of the Year. Now, her passionate fans will see her beyond the pitch and behind a microphone each week as she welcomes guests to chat about the moments, people and experiences that have shaped who they are today, all through conversations filled with Mead’s trademark warmth, honesty, candour and humour.
As one of the most recognisable names in British sport, Beth is no stranger to the pressures that come with being a trailblazer in your field. During her continuing career, Beth has inspired change and helped reshape the landscape of women’s football while experiencing life’s challenges both on and off the pitch.
Beth now invites guests to The Beth Mead Show, to learn beyond their successes, how the challenges and times of resilience got them there. Speaking with some of the best loved names including sporting legends, familiar TV faces to music icons and comedians, Beth uncovers the unknown stories of her guests with plenty of curiosity, laughter and heartfelt moments.
Kicking off the first episode, which is available tomorrow, is comedian and TV personality Maisie Adam. Other guests to join Beth this series include podcaster and internet personality, GK Barry with her partner Ella Rutherford of Portsmouth FC, Lioness legend and Strictly Come Dancing winner, Karen Carney, TV Presenter Roman Kemp, Comedian Grace Campbell and Presenter & DJ, Harriet Rose.
