Middlesex women secured victory without losing a solitary wicket. Best bowler was skipper Saskia Horley – pictured – who took two Falcons wickets, conceding 39 runs (from 9 overs.) Batting first, no Falcons women batter made ‘fifty’ and all Middx women bowlers took wickets. Once rain stopped play around 1pm, Umpires took early lunch: [with Falcons women’s score 124/6 after 39.3 overs.] Once play resumed following successive pitch inspections, the match continued. Middx women openers successfully chased down their revised DLS target, scoring their winning runs twice-as-fast as their opponents, to secure a decisive victory.
