The inaugural Saucony Run Shoreditch has sold out in its first year, ahead of the event taking over East London’s streets on Sunday 21 September.

It marks another sell-out for organisers Motiv Sports UK, who deliver some of the nation’s most popular running events, including the Hackney Half Marathon and Saucony London 10k, both selling out in record time for 2025.

Nine thousand runners have signed up for the first-ever Saucony Run Shoreditch, London’s newest closed-road running event.

The new route starts at Shoreditch Park, crossing Regents Canal, then going up Southgate Road before it goes through De Beauvoir village, and up to Newington Green. The route then heads back south through the pretty neighbourhood of De Beauvoir itself, before passing through Hoxton Street Market, and passing under the gantry. Runners then get a view of central London straight ahead of them before looping back to the finish.

Ian Allerton, Managing Director at Motiv Sports UK, said: “Shoreditch is renowned for its creative energy, serving as the perfect backdrop for this new addition to London’s race calendar. We know the popularity of the London running scene, especially having delivered the Hackney Half for many years, and why it attracts so many people. We are confident that this new event is going to bring the energy.

“As soon as we announced the Saucony Run Shoreditch, the response we received from participants and the running community showed us from the get-go that this was going to be something special. We’re very excited to bring this to life this week and then look at how we continually grow and improve this event next year.”

Earlier this year, Saucony and Motiv Sports announced the launch the Saucony Run Shoreditch. This closed-road race will bring together runners of all abilities to experience the thrill of a 10k in one of London’s most vibrant and unique areas. With music, cheering spectators, and a focus on community, the race promises to be an unforgettable race-day experience.

As the headline sponsor, Saucony continues to celebrate the powerful connections forged through running and embrace the evolving landscape where running intersects with culture.
