Birmingham Phoenix vs Manchester Originals at Birmingham, (Edgbaston)  on 15 August 2024;

Match started on time, with Phoenix batting first until rain stopped play on 68/2. It rain continuously for at least an hour until Umpires had no appetite to continue, and decided the match was abandoned. Commentators for SkySports who presented highlights of the Women’s Hundred were Nick ‘Knighty’ Knight, Lydia Greenway OBE (both broadcasters & former England internationals) with Michael ‘Mike’ Atherton OBE (broadcaster, sports journalist & former England international), Dominic Cork (Head Coach at Derbyshire Falcons & former England international) & Charles Dagnall (broadcaster & former county player) pitch-side. Guest player Tammy Beaumont was interviewed as skipper of Welsh Fire, who won five matches, lost two and finish top-of-table with superior net-run-rate. Weather decided that Oval Invincibles take second-place (also with 11 points); and will play third-placed London Spirit (with 9 points) in Saturday’s Eliminator (Kia Oval); the winner of which plays Welsh Fire in Sunday’s final (Lord’s). Weather: evolved into heavy rain.
