Olympic bronze medallist Sky Brown will represent Team GB once again this summer, as part of the skateboarding team named by the British Olympic Association (BOA) for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Lola Tambling and Andy Macdonald will also join Brown in Paris, with both park skateboarders making their Games debuts.
Brown returns to Team GB, after becoming Britain’s youngest-ever medallist at an Olympic Games when she won a bronze medal aged 13, in the first park event in Games history at Tokyo 2020.
Since winning her Olympic medal, the 15-year-old is now a World Champion, the first British skateboarder ever to achieve this feat, while also becoming a double X Games Champion and a Dew Tour Champion in 2022.
Tambling, 16, from Cornwall, started skateboarding aged seven after attending a skate jam at her local park set up by her parents, before eventually competing in international tournaments from 11 years old. She won the UK National Skateboarding Championship in 2022 and competed in her first World Championship in February last year, finishing sixth.
Meanwhile, Macdonald, will be the first ever British male skateboarder at an Olympic Games after securing qualification for Paris nearly a week ago.
The 50-year-old, who has been skateboarding professionally since 1994, holds the current record for the most X Games medals in vert skateboarding.
Team GB Chef de Mission Mark England OBE said: “It was fantastic to witness skateboarding make its debut in Tokyo, and we were thrilled to see Sky make history as the youngest person ever to win a medal for Team GB at the Summer Games.
