Double-defending champions were defeated by Stars in a dramatic rematch earned three days ago, when Vipers clangorous home crowd of 3000 schoolchildren saw their favourite team beat Stars by 113 runs at Hove. By contrast, this semi-final played between second-and-third placed teams was well-matched with guest Australians playing on either side.
