Harlequins are pleased to announce the signing of Spanish outside centre Clàudia Peña Hidalgo ahead of the 2023/24 season.
The 19-year-old joins Quins from Barcelona AVRFCB, the rugby arm of Barcelona FC. Internationally Peña has six caps for Spain, scoring four tries in three games at WXV last year.
She has also made 31 appearances Spain 7s, scoring 79 points and becoming one of the most exciting prospects on the circuit.
Outside of rugby, Clàudia Peña was named 28th in the top 100 most notable Women in Spanish Sport and was also voted the MVP of Liga Iberdrola Rugby – the Spanish domestic league.
