This International Women’s Day, women’s football media brand, Indivisa has relaunched its More Women in Football tote bag to help support Her Game Too, a not-for-profit organisation campaigning to raise awareness of sexism in sport.
Recent research carried out by Indivisa shows that while women’s football fandom and participation has taken huge strides in the past twelve months, 27 per cent of women who play football say they would play more if it wasn’t for concerns about their safety.
24 per cent of fans who don’t currently play football voiced the same concerns as the main reason they don’t take part.*
Not feeling safe, included responses from fans that included abusive language, aggressive behaviour and travelling when dark. The global survey involved more than 1,000 female football fans.
It’s hoped that the work carried out by Her Game Too and the coverage of women’s football by Indivisa can play a part in making women feel safer in football.
Profits from sales of the bag during March will be donated to Her Game Too to continue their work in tackling sexism in sport.
Indivisa is a social-first women’s football channel and community on Instagram, TikTok and Twitter that covers the game from the grassroots up.
Head of Indivisa, Morgan Brennan is a player herself and manages the amateur women’s team, the Victoria Park Vixens. Brennan said: “When we first launched the More Women in Football bag it sold out fast and has been spotted everywhere from 5-a-side playing fans’ shoulders to Jill Scott’s Instagram.
“We believe the message is simple and covers not just seeing more women on TV, but in the boardrooms, behind the cameras and more.
“It benefits everyone in football to have more women involved in football. This is why we’re proud to work with Her Game Too and do our bit to support their work in tackling sexism in sport.

Her Game Too is an anti-sexism campaign which has taken the football world by storm in fewer than two years and has partnered with clubs from the Premier League to grassroots level football. The ultimate goal is to support girls and women in football whether they are fans, players or working in a male-dominated world.
