The RFU has confirmed a number of updates on this weekend’s round five Allianz Premier 15s fixtures.
Tomorrow’s (Saturday 17 December) match between Sale Sharks and Saracens has been postponed.
A pitch inspection by an independent RFU referee took place at Sale’s CorpAcq Stadium home at 2pm today with the pitch deemed unplayable. A new date for this fixture will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, Gloucester-Hartpury’s scheduled home match against DMP Sharks, originally due to be played at the ALPAS Arena on Saturday (17 December) will now be played at the Hartpury University 3G pitch on Sunday (18 December, kick-off 2pm).
Elsewhere, Wasps’ home fixture against the University of Worcester Warriors (Saturday 17 December) will now be played on the 4G pitch rather than the main grass pitch at Twyford Avenue with a 1.15pm kick-off.
The kick-off time for Exeter Chiefs against Harlequins (Sunday 18 December) has been brought forward an hour and will now kick off at 1.30pm.
Meanwhile, the round four fixtures between DMP Sharks v Wasps and University of Worcester Warriors v Bristol Bears were postponed last week and have both been rearranged for the weekend of 11/12 February 2023 following a Disputes Committee meeting*. Full kick-off details will be shared in due course.
Finally, the two outstanding Allianz Cup pool fixtures, University of Worcester Warriors v DMP Sharks and Wasps v Saracens have been rearranged for the weekend of 18/19 March 2023, following an appeal. Full kick-off details will be shared in due course.
