  • +1

Harlequins has confirmed that Bethan Dainton has left the Club to pursue a career in Rugby League.

Joining the Club in 2016 at the foundation of the Women’s programme, the back row went on to become a regular fixture within the team, playing a key role from openside flanker as the team went on to lift the 2020/21 Allianz Premier 15s trophy.

During her time in the Famous Quarters, Dainton also represented Wales for both the national side’s Union (Sevens and 15s) and League teams. Dainton has also represented the famous invitational Barbarian FC side.

A dual career-athlete, Dainton accomplished all of these achievements alongside her full-time role with the British Army, representing the forces’ Union and League teams.

The Club thanks Bethan for her time with the team and wishes her the best with the next step in her sporting career.

With thanks to Harlequins
