England Women 337-5 beat South Africa Women 223 by 114 runs
Sophia Dunkley was the stand-out performer at Bristol as she scored her first international hundred to drive England Women towards a big total and a convincing victory over South Africa.
The 23-year-old – relishing the opportunity to bat at No.3 – put on 142 for the third wicket with Nat Sciver as the hosts amassed 337-5, their seventh-highest ODI total.
It wasn’t just Dunkley who shone, with Charlie Dean picking up 4-53 and debutant Issy Wong taking 3-36 as South Africa were bowled out for 223. There was also time for fellow debutant Lauren Bell to pick up her first ODI wicket.
It means England win the Royal London Series, and go 6-2 up on points in the multi-format series. The Royal London Series finishes at Leicester on Monday, before the Vitality IT20 series gets underway at Essex next week.
