After an exciting Autumn International Period, Allianz Premier 15s is back and it kicks off with Wasps trip west to Bear territory.
In their last Allianz Premier 15s match, Wasps took the win in a double header with the men at Coventry, beating Gloucester Hartpury to land themselves a third spot position in the table.
It’s been an eventful Autumn series for Wasps’ Internationals – Muir claiming her first cap for England, Flo Williams claiming her first Cap for Wales and Rowena Burnfield claiming her 50th for England! But now, with our English, Irish and Welsh players back at the hive, it’s back to business and first up, it’s Bristol Bears.
Bristol Bears remain unbeaten in the Premiership tournament and recently beat Wasps in the Allianz Cup. However, Wasps are hoping to build on learnings from their last meeting and break Bristol’s winning streak this weekend.
Mather has named her team and it comes with some exciting changes! Starting in the forwards, Muir returns to join Kerr and Crake in the front row with Monaghan and your Captain, Burnfield returning to sit behind them. Molloy returns from injury to the pack at seven alongside Millar-Mills and McMahon to complete the forwards line up.
After receiving her first international cap for Wales, Williams returns to the squad in the ten shirt outside of Nye at scrum half. Stone makes her Allianz Premier 15s debut on the wing alongside Williams with Rowland at full back. And in the centres, Moloney moves from two to twelve to add some forward momentum alongside Dodd at 13.
The bench features two front row replacements Adefemiwa- Afilaka and Evans, three forwards replacements ready to make havoc in defence- Balogun, Caux and Searcy. Brown completes the line up as the backs replacement.
