Birmingham City scored first in their FA Cup semi final against Chelsea this afternoon after a fine strike from Megan Sargeant. City looked to have booked their place in the final until an equaliser from Drew Spence took the game into extra time.
With no-one able to break the deadlock the tie was went to penalties and City were the ones to hold their nerve and take the game 4-2 after Eni Aluko and Millie Bright both missed their spot kicks. A cruel way to settle a game.
Birmingham will face Manchester City Women after the latter beat Liverpool in another tight 1-0 game with Melissa Lawley the hero for her side.
The final will be played at Wembley on May 13th.
