LCB open nominations for Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards

  • +1

After a successful campaign last year, the Outstanding Service to Cricket Awards are back for this year!

The LCB OSCAs recognise the achievements of grassroots volunteers who work week in, week out to ensure that clubs get the game on.  Its aim is to reward cricket’s unsung heroes and recognise the contributions and efforts of grassroots volunteers from all over Lancashire.

Each year, clubs can nominate their chosen volunteers who they believe go the extra mile.

A judging panel, as selected by LCB, will then sit at the end of May to decide the winners and the LCB would like to welcome nominations by Friday 29th April 2016. Our winners, as well as generating publicity across the County, will be treated to a fantastic hospitality package for 2 people for the Lancashire Lightning v Yorkshire Vikings NatWest T20 Blast game on Friday 3rd June 2016. The winners of each category will then go on to represent Lancashire at the NatWest OSCAs at Lord’s on Tuesday 4th October 2016.

The 7 NatWest OSCAs nomination categories for 2016 are:

  • Heartbeat of the Club
  • Get the Game On
  • Leagues
  • Lifetime Achiever
  • NatWest CricketForce
  • Officiating – Umpires and Scorers
  • Young Volunteer

The Nomination criteria and form can be found on the LCB website.

The closing dates for nominations is Friday 29th April 2016.

There are many hard working volunteers, members and officials across the County without whom the game would not survive. The OSCAs are a great opportunity to put forward these people as stand out ambassadors for grassroots cricket in the County.
