Still searching for their first win of the season, Yorkshire Jets travel to Bath on Friday evening in the Vitality Netball Superleague.
After eight winless rounds, Anna Carter’s side will be searching for an as yet elusive victory against a Team Bath side who will also be fired up after being beaten by Surrey Storm earlier this week.
Last weekend consistency once again proved to be the main concern for Jets. The match against Loughborough Lightning was finely balanced for 45 minutes but in the final quarter, the Midlands side pulled away and ended up winning by 13 goals.
The match sees a return to Bath for Jets captain Stacey Francis who played for the Superleague side for ten years prior to her move to Yorkshire for this year’s campaign.
Writing in her weekly Yorkshire Evening Post column, she said: “I have never before played at the Sports Training Village in Bath as the opposition and throughout the years I have felt a phenomenal amount of support from the South West crowds.
“Never one to back down from a challenge, I look forward to exposing old team-mates’ weaknesses, embracing the underdog title that is undeniable and continuing to drive the Jets towards a greater level of consistency in a place that will feel very much like home.”
First centre pass in the match is 7.45pm on Friday evening.
