Ellie Curson, who was named as Jamie Sherwood’s Managers Player of the Year for her display in the 2015 FA Women’s Super League season, has committed to a contract offer, for the 2016 promotion chasing season.
As a stand out player for Yeovil Town Ladies FC, the midfielder, who has had involvement at international level for Wales, has signed a one year deal, to keep her with the green and whites.
Scoring two goals and making twenty one appearances in the last campaign, Sherwood was keen to secure Curson for the future.
Sherwood said “I am thrilled to have secured Ellie Curson for the 2016 season. She is a player I have coached and known since the age of 10 and it’s so pleasing to see the player she has become.”
“Her presence at Yeovil Town Ladies in 2015 has really grown and her maturity from having a full season playing, excites me for the 2016 season.”
Curson commented “I was absolutely over the moon receiving the managers player of the year award. Last season was the most enjoyable season that I have ever experienced”
“Working with Jamie, Michelle and all other staff, along with becoming a regular starting player within the team, has given me the confidence to play to my potential.”
“I can’t wait for the 2016 season to start. As a team and as individuals we have high expectations and will do everything we can to achieve these.”
