Yeovil Town Ladies goalkeeper Charlotte Haynes has put pen to paper to commit herself to Jamie Sherwood’s team for next season.

Having just completed her first full season of senior football, Haynes has seen her improvement recognised, with regular call ups to the England U19 training camps along with appearances in goal for her international team.

At the recent club awards night, Haynes was also presented with the Emerging Talent award in front of over one hundred guests at Huish Park.

On signing for the 2016 season Haynes said “I am delighted to have re-signed with Yeovil Town Ladies. I thoroughly enjoyed my first season, which with the help of Jamie, Tony and the team, I have developed my skills further.”

“We have a great team and loyal supporters who all made me welcome from the start. I’m really looking forward to the 2016 season and hopefully you will see us progress to WSL1.”

Manager Jamie Sherwood said “Since signing Charlie eighteen months ago, we knew that she had the tools, but we have had to be patient and measured with her development.”

“A lot of praise has to go to Charlie for her attitude and desire to work hard, but for me a lot of praise has to also go to Tony Rich who has worked with Charlie and has showed great belief in her ability.”

Goalkeeping coach Tony Rich commented “Since joining as a raw 17 yr old Charlotte has evolved into an international goalkeeper, who has huge potential. She is a fast and willing learner and a pleasure to work with.”

Sherwood is hoping his squad can improve on its position achieved this year and achieve promotion to FAWSL1 in 2016.
