This weekend Selby Warriors were at home to Featherstone Rovers and it was the travelling side who had the edge to grab a 34-10 win.
Featherstone’s Emma Dobson-Slowe led the way with two tries to her name and there were further tries for; Hannah Barstow, Jasmine Roley, Sinead Peach and Katie Cooper-Birkenhead. Birkenhead added further to her tally with 5 successful conversions.
Selby’s Georgia Cutt and Meganne Summers both scored one each and Yas Copeland added one conversion.
In the other fixture of the day Stanningley Ladies hosted Oulton Raidettes and the home side were strong throughout to record a 36-6 victory.
Stanningley’s Sarah Lovejoy scored an impressive 4 tries and there were further scores for Sophie Robinson, Hannah Robinson and Jess Malik, Kelly Morgan was on target for four goals.
Lyndsey Cunnett impressed throughout to earn the player of the match award for Stanningley.
Oulton’s Regan Walker crossed for their try and successfully converted her effort.
This well-earned victory for Featherstone means that they climb to 3rd in the League on 8 points with two games in hand over Bradford, who sit at the top of the table, and Stanningley in 2nd with 10 and 9 points respectively.
