This weekend saw Selby Warriors at home to Brighouse. The home side emerged with a 34-10 win, Gemma Huddlestone led the way with a hat-rick of tries, Meg Summers scored once for Selby and Yaz Copeland crossed for two tries and was on target with 5 goals.
There was a close game at Bradford Thunderbirds as they welcomed Thatto Heath, Bradford held out for a 22-18 win. Bradford’s Amy Hardcastle scored twice for the home side and there were further tries from Lisa Taylor and Jess Courtman, Taylor converted two goals and Rhiannon Marshall added one. Thatto’s tries came from Alex Simpson, Dani Bound and Chloe Hammond, Tara Stanley added 2 goals and Faye Gaskin added 1.
Oulton Raidettes travelled away to Hunslet Hawks and Oulton won out 44-8. Hunslets two tries came from Jacqueline Sedgwick and Lindsey Kitching but on the day Oulton had the edge. Regan Walker and Nikki Atkins both scored two tries each and there was one try each for Steph Geldard, Danielle Anderson, Haley Portrey, Nikki Beck and Chloe Pickersgill, Pickersgill also converted four of the tries.
The final game of the weekend was a win for Wigan St Patricks at home against Leigh Miners Rangers 16-8. Charlotte Foley, Emma Dwyer and Joenie Aspin all scored one for the winners with Foley adding two goals. Both of Leigh Miners tries were scored by Rachel Ogden.
