  • +1

England Netball have announced that they are introducing a fabulous new version of the sport, Nets!

As part of the new format it has been confirmed that England Netball has merged with the Indoor Netball Association to be able to deliver the best possible product for netball lovers across the country.

The Indoor Netball Association (INA) is a voluntary organisation that has been promoting grassroots participation and managing teams representing England internationally. Over the last 18 months a close collaboration has formed between the INA and England Netball; this has already seen England Netball recognising Indoor Netball as a form of the game.

Along with England Netball, they are now pleased to announce that the two organisations have agreed to merge.

The proposed merger has the full backing of both the INA and EN Boards of Directors and it is hoped that the formal merger will have been completed by 26th September, following which there will be a transition period to ensure that necessary activities are successfully completed.

The Indoor Netball participants and stakeholders will continue to influence the development of the game through an Advisory Group reporting directly to the England Netball’s Board.

To celebrate the partnership and to launch Nets, there was an international fixture in Bristol on the evening of 26 September of a big match between England Ladies 7s and South Africa Ladies 7s ending in a 42-32 victory for the visitors as they secured a 2-1 Series win.

In order to ensure that lots of people have the opportunity to get involved with Nets, over the next few weeks launch sessions will be hosted at dedicated venues across the country. More information on this can be found in the Nets section of the website.
