  • +1

Glamorgan (women) vs Sussex Sharks (women) (L2 – stand-alone evening fixture) at Newport (Spytty Park) on Friday 27 June 2025 (19h00)

Glamorgan women chalked-up their fourth win, considerably improving their chances to qualify for the South Group’s semi-finals by defeating their main rivals. Main Glamorgan women’s partnership between skipper Beth Gammon [32 runs (from 20 balls), and top-scorer Daisy Mullan – pictured 63*not out(65) added seventy runs. For the last four overs Daisy Mullan was joined by Poppy Tulloch who played an entertaining cameo [18*not out(12).]  Turning to Sharks women’s run-chase, their  power-play started well, with fifty without loss (vs 30/1.) Needing to score 81 from 60 balls beyond mid-way, their run-chase faltered when six batters departed for single-figures. Glamorgan women’s best bowler Nicole Reid took a 3-fer (3 wickets/conceding 12 runs.)
