The USA U23s lost to England U23s today but won the Nordic Tournament on goal difference.

Both teams went into this game unbeaten with the title up for grabs.  USA scored first but Chelsea’s Bethany England equalised taking the score to 1-1 at full time.  Penalties followed and England won out 3-1, however because of a superior goal difference the USA took the spoils.

Apologies for the paucity of the report – if we can get more information this report will be updated.

U19s lose to France

Meanwhile, also at St George’s Park, the U19s lost their final game of the season to France by 2-0.  Apparently coach Mo Marley had picked with team with next season’s Euro qualifiers in mind as many of the players in the team will be eligible to play next season.

Both games were played in front of an invited crowd of family and friends.
