Lauren Winfield to miss World Cup opener

Opening batsman Lauren Winfield will miss England’s ICC Women’s World Cup opener against India on Saturday after sustaining a wrist injury in the final warm-up match against New Zealand. She is to be reassessed early next week but is also likely to be unavailable for England’s second group game, against Pakistan at Leicester on Tuesday
