England Women (291 ao) beat Ireland Women (177 ao) by 114 runs
Sophia Dunkley scored her second ODI century to guide England Women to victory at New Road and with it a 3-0 series clean-sweep over Ireland.
Dunkley’s run-a-ball 119 – her highest international score – formed the backbone of England’s total of 291 having been asked to bat first, and it earned her both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
At 260-4, it had looked as if the hosts’ total would be even more formidable, but Ireland fought back with the ball to take the last six wickets for 31 runs and give themselves a chance but it proved too tall an order.
Lauren Filer took 3-27 and Mady Villiers 3-33 as Ireland were bowled out for 177, 114 short of their target.
It means England – captained for this series by Charlie Dean in the absence of Nat Sciver-Brunt – claim the series 3-0, having won by six wickets at both Derby and Leicester.
