Thousands of runners took on mud, water and obstacles over the weekend of Saturday 13 – Sunday 14 June, as Summer Wolf returned to Stanford Hall in Leicestershire.
Under warm early summer sunshine, more than 7,000 participants embraced the challenge across the 5k, 10k and junior events, tackling deep mud trenches, water crossings and climbing obstacles in true Wolf Run style. From start to finish, the course was defined by teamwork, determination and plenty of smiles, both on the trails and back in the lively event village.
One of the standout weekends in the Wolf Run calendar, Summer Wolf once again brought together first-timers and seasoned runners alike, with many taking part as part of a ‘Pack’ alongside friends, family and colleagues. The emphasis remained firmly on enjoyment and camaraderie, with participants encouraged to help each other through the course.
Away from the course, the festival-style event village was busy throughout the weekend, with music, food and space for runners and spectators to relax and celebrate their achievements together.
Summer Wolf forms part of Wolf Run’s 15-year anniversary celebrations, marking another milestone for the business founded by brothers Charlie and Will Moreton. Since launching with just 650 runners at its first event, Wolf Run now welcomes tens of thousands of participants each year across its series.
Wolf Run returns later this year with Autumn Wolf taking place in Warwickshire on 12–13 September. Sign up for the 10k and 5k Wolf Run events or Junior Wolf, at https://thewolfrun.com/
