American Express and NSL launch Super Shot and member benefits

On the eve of the 2026 season, the Netball Super League (NSL) has announced a new partnership with American Express, representative of a significant step forward in the sport’s journey to professionalisation. The agreement will see the introduction of the Amex Super Shot, with American Express taking over the Super Shot zones’ branding for the duration of the 2026 season, from which every goal scored in the last five minutes of each quarter is worth two goal-points.

On top of the court branding, American Express and the NSL will collaborate to deliver rewarding experiences and exclusive opportunities for American Express® Cardmembers throughout the 2026 season, including priority tickets and prize draws.

Extending the impact beyond the elite game, the agreement will also see the introduction of the Amex Super Shot Fund, a season-long activation designed to back the future of netball communities across the UK. For every Amex Super Shot scored during the Netball Super League season, American Express and the NSL will donate into the Amex Super Shot Fund, a Club-specific community fund directly backing grassroots netball at a local level. The more a team scores, the greater the investment back into its local netball community.

Claire Nelson, Managing Director of the Netball Super League said: “Securing the support of American Express is a powerful statement of the direction in which our League, and the wider sport of netball is heading.

“We’ll be working closely with American Express as we continue to grow the visibility of our athletes, clubs and League, provide high quality, unmissable experiences for netball fans across the UK and back communities beyond the court. I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.”

Dave Edwards, VP Demand Generation at American Express said: “We’re delighted to partner with the Netball Super League to introduce the Amex Super Shot, launch the Super Shot Fund and deliver benefits for Cardmembers, for the 2026 season. At American Express, we’re committed to backing our Cardmembers including around their passions – and with netball growing rapidly across the UK, this is an exciting time to be involved.”

NSL has also collaborated with Sky Media to give the Amex Super Shot enhanced prominence across Sky Sports’ Netball Super League coverage. This collaboration reinforces Sky Sports’ commitment to championing women’s sport.

Throughout the 2026 season, the Amex Super Shot zone will feature at all regular round matches and at the Soft & Gentle Grand Final, staged at Manchester’s Co-op Live – a historic moment as netball becomes the first ball sport, and the first sporting final, to be held at the world-class arena.
