Playing her first match of the season, Diamonds’ medium-pace bowler Beth Langston (pictured) chalked-up a 6-fer, with best-figures since recovering from knee-injury; and not having played for Diamonds for more than one year. Previously, playing for Loughborough Lightning in the KIA Superleague, Beth Langston was first selected to play for England in 2016, was a non-playing medallist for England’s 2017 World Cup squad and transferred to Diamonds during 2018. Beth Langston’s 6-fer came mid-way through Sunrisers’ innings. Diamonds’ batters won the match approaching mid-way (25 overs) with two balls to spare. Sunrisers’ pace-bowler Kate Coppack took a 3-fer. Diamonds (30 points) chalked-up their fifth back-to-back win, second-only to the defending champions (32 points) after nine rounds played-to-date.
