After a week’s break, teams can welcome new faces to their squads, not least Lisa Thomson,
released to play by GB Sevens, and a handful of PWR players, like Edel McMahon, Grace Moore
and Beth Blacklock.
Thomson will appear for Edinburgh at the Arms Park, their second consecutive visit to Wales. They
won at Llanelli last time out.
Strangely, Clovers play away for the first time, but against Warriors who have yet to register
a win.
Coaches have again made extensive changes; the competition is as much about discovery and
expansion as about results. It’s pleasing that no one nation commands the scene, but Thunder and
Warriors will be anxious to get off the mark. Competition for the play-offs is bubbling up, and for
many the extra hope is for a place in their Six Nations squad.
