Round One of this important initiative saw plenty of local rivalries, but this second showing is where the story really begins: three international match-ups.
Less experienced players now face the challenge of crossing borders to play.
There are interchanges between some of these sides and PWR clubs. For example Louise McMillan retunrs south, but Mairi McDonald plays for Warriors and Niamh Terry for Brython.
Coaches have precious little time to experiment with their squads; the tournament will finish all too soon, so they are bound to turn out the strongest combinations they can. Hence the many changes.
