Kadeen Corbin is bringing her vast domestic and international experience to the Team Bath Netball coaching team for the 2024 Super League season.
The Commonwealth Games gold-medallist, who has 72 caps for England and recently represented Barbados at the 2023 Netball World Cup, has been appointed as Technical Coach for the upcoming season – a new role which she will combine alongside her duties as a contracted squad member.
Corbin will work with Head Coach Asha Francis and Assistant Coach Chani Wopara on developing the Super League coaching sessions, with a primary focus on the attacking end. When not on court playing, she will also have a key role on game days providing important support and guidance from the bench.
“I’m really excited to be taking on this role,” said Corbin, who is in her third playing spell with Team Bath. “I was keen to share the knowledge I have in a coaching capacity and not just as a player.
“I remember all the times when people would provide me with guidance and advice, and now it’s time to move that knowledge on. Our attackers have so much talent and potential for growth, and I want to help them be the best they can be.
“I can’t wait to see those players and the team grow but also see the growth in me. Hopefully this role will make me think about the game in a different way.”
Francis added: “As a fully-qualified coach, Kadeen already provides the teams she plays in with high-value technical and tactical input, as well as a strong sense of leadership. She will now have a more formal route to channel this input as she steps into the Technical Coach role alongside her playing duties this season.”
Renowned consultant, trainer, mentor and coach Mark Bennett MBE, of Performance Development Systems, will continue in his role as Performance Mentor, working closely with Francis, her staff and the players to develop the club culture and style of play. Tracey Phillips also continues as Team Bath’s Team Manager.
Team Bath Netball will announce their Super League playing squad for the 2024 season this week.
