Harlequins make six changes for trip to Northampton

  • +1

Harlequins Women Head Coach Gerard Mullen has named his matchday squad that will travel to Northampton to take on Loughborough Lightning in the final round of the 2021/22 regular season.

There are four changes in the forward pack as Tove Viksten is joined by Davinia Catlin in the front row. USA international Jenny Kronish is set to make her first Allianz Premier 15s start in the Famous Quarters after joining the Club midway through the season, whilst Lauren Brooks replaces Amelia Harper at blindside flanker.

After a strong second-half performance last weekend at Ashton Gate, Ellie Green is picked in the ten jersey with Izzy Mayhew being the only other change in the Quins back line as she is selected at outside centre. The electric back three of Jess Breach, Heather Cowell and Ellie Kildunne remains unchanged.

A win for Harlequins could potentially secure a home semi-final depending on the results elsewhere, but Mullen is fully focused on his team’s performance.

Mullen said: “We all know the possibilities if we win on Saturday, but we know that Loughborough will provide another tough test for us. They’re a side that like to throw the ball around and have also welcomed back a lot of internationals so we know we’ll have to be at our best once again to secure the win.”
